Solibad has been helping children around the world since 2009, mainly through its partners - clubs, committees, leagues and federations around the world. All together we have fun while collecting money or used equipment. Either in badminton halls or outdoors.
How does it work?
Your organization can become an official partner by signing this "charter". We will then become official partners and start looking for ways to work together to make a difference for the children we serve.
What does that mean?
Depending on your structure, we'll advise you on how to be as effective as possible.
These are the three things we ask you to do when you sign the charter:
- Include our logo on your communication tools (website/social media, etc.)
- Send an annual membership fee of €100
- Participate in Solibad Days (a fundraising event organized each year to raise funds for our projects).
National Federations, for example, help us spread the word to local clubs and leagues about how they can help. They organize events from time to time, help us run a booth at their major events, etc.
Local clubs, and academies, for their part, can be proactive in organizing solidarity events and collecting money on our behalf, or used shoes or rackets that we can send to our programs. Especially during the Solibad Days, which will take place from May 8 to 18, 2025.
What is the Solibad Charter?
The Solibad Charter is a text that we have prepared so that badminton clubs, committees, and leagues can commit themselves to Solibad with a real desire to invest with us. Since the beginning of the school year in September 2024, we're asking the signatories - clubs, committees, and leagues - to pay an annual fee of 100 €. However, upon request, this amount can be "waived" for a fundraising campaign during the sports year in question. In addition, the signing of the Charter is valid for one year or for the number of years corresponding to the number of years remaining in the mandate of the signing office. We also strongly encourage participation in Solibad Days, our annual fundraising event.
The Charter also has an educational value, as it reminds the young members of the Signatory Structure how lucky they are to be able to practice a sport in a recreational - or competitive - environment, whereas in other countries, and this is the case for some of our programs, badminton is almost a necessity or an opportunity to escape from their very difficult environment.
It's up to each club, committee, league, and federation to give meaning to the partnership signed around the Solibad Charter.
The charter can be signed online: all that's needed is for the boards of clubs, committees, and leagues to meet and discuss it before officially joining us. It is essential that each signatory structure has a Solibad representative who will be our main point of contact - he or she may or may not be in the office.
Here is the full text of the SOLIBAD Charter:
“I, the undersigned, President or authorized representative of my club/committee/league/federation, commit the latter to respecting the values of fair play and sportsmanship defended by Solibad, on and off the pitch.
To remember, always, that while for us this sport is above all a recreational activity, in other parts of the world it is sometimes an original support and an important educational and social means for young children in disadvantaged situations.
We commit ourselves, either for the current sports year or for all the seasons corresponding to our elective mandate, to helping the Solibad association by affixing the Solibad logo on all our communication supports and by relaying to our members the events and news of the Solibad programs. But also by being a driving force behind the organization of events linked to its activities in the future, notably as part of Solibad Days. We also undertake to pay an annual membership fee of €100 for clubs, committees, and leagues. This sum may be waived for any fund-raising activities during the year, on simple request.
Here is the link to sign the charter online.
Once you've signed the charter, you'll receive a welcome email with a link to pay your membership fee, and you'll be added to the mailing list for our news and activities, in which you can participate as time and resources allow.
In this way, your structure will join the Solibad family, whose members you can see HERE (the list will be updated at the end of 2024).
The signature commits the club for one year or, if you wish, for the entire term of the executive committee. If another board or president takes over, they will be contacted to decide whether or not to continue the adventure.
